Review on Djakarta Bali
A beautiful Indonesian restaurant, Djakarta Bali is to be found in the charming Les Halles area of central Paris. This restaurant is stunningly decorated with wooden sculptures, crystal chandeliers, batik wall hangings, lanterns and marionettes from Java complete the authentic setting.
The cuisine is traditional Indonesian, just what you might expect to eat in the home of an Indonesian family. Expect a choice of several set menus as well as the a la carte option, with many dishes served in bamboo baskets by waiting staff dressed in traditional costumes. A reasonably priced wine list compliments the food.
Friday nights are not to be missed as magnificently costumed dancers from Bali or Jakarta perform to wind instruments and drums.
