Review on Le Zimmer
Le Zimmer is a very popular and well known Parisian brasserie in the Chatelet area of Paris and being opposite the famous Chatelet theatre, the restaurant has been privileged to receive many famous diners over the years such as Picasso, Lautrec and Nijenski. It has had a colourful history and it is said that at one time some of the French resistance were hiding in one of the basement rooms.
In 2000 it was completely redecorated by the famous designer Jacques Garcia who meticulously researched the building to restore it back to its former glory and in this, he has clearly succeeded. It is now a beautiful restaurant with many of its original features such as its opulent golden ceilings carefully brought back to life.
Offering a menu featuring both traditional and contemporary cuisine this is an ideal location to stop for either a leisurely meal, a glass of wine, a coffee or snack and soak up a piece of history. Le Zimmer is open from early morning to late every day.
