Review on Cobéa
Cobéa opened in 2011 located in the former premises occupied by Monsieur Lapin in the heart of the 14th district of Paris, within walking distance of nearby Theatres and close to the TGV Atlantic terminal. It is co-owned by friends Jerome Cobou and Philippe Bellissent who won a Michelin star during his six years at the L'Hôtel. Cobéa takes its name from the first two letters of their name respectively, with the final “a” to indicate “associate”. The restaurant, an old 1920's house has been tastefully restored and is an elegant and inviting space with an open-to-view kitchen.
Philippe Bélissent showcases a diverse menu that melds classic and modern French cuisine, using carefully selected seasonal products according to a strict criteria. In 2012 he was awarded a prestigious Michelin start for his inventive dishes. Front of house under the leadership of Jerome Cobou is notably attentive and knowledgeable
