Review on La Maison Courtine

La Maison Courtine is a gem of a neighbourhood restaurant on the Avenue du Maine in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. It was opened in 1998 by Pascal Noizet and the dining area was redecorated in 2009 in tones of orange, green and yellow to give a warm and welcoming aspect. The Mediterranean cuisine is based on the South West of France using only fresh market produce.

Typical offerings on the regularly changing carte could feature snails in hazelnut butter or millefeuille of lobster with artichokes and tarragon vinaigrette, followed by mains of blue fin tuna or roast saddle of lamb and finishing with a raspberry macaroon with mascarpone and raspberry sorbet. The excellent wine list with over 200 references also provides a few surprises. La Maison Courtine is a popular venue for local Parisians and offers exceptional good value dining.
