Review on Millesimes 62
Millesimes 62 is a modern French restaurant in the Montparnasse district of Paris, a short distance from the TGV terminal. The owners are husband and wife team Sandrine and Stephane Savorgnan who have created a delightful restaurant with a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. When the weather is warm the terrace is a very pleasant place dine overlooking the lovely views of the fountain on the Place Catalogne.
The kitchen looks to the Provence region for many of its dishes such as half cooked foie gras with caramelised balsamic, seared scallops with beurre blanc and the signature dish is grilled salmon with herb pesto and basmati rice. To finish expect honey flavoured crème brulée or cappuccino of red fruits with vanilla sauce. Millesimes 62 is a popular restaurant for business lunches and the pre and post-theatre crowd. The all-French wine list is a well-annotated assortment of good-value regional bottles, with some serious contenders along the way.
