Akrame opened in 2011 in the former premises occupied by Bistro L'Etoile in the heart of Paris's 16th Arrondissement, a short walk from the Arc de Triomphe. The bustling open kitchen adds to the convivial ambience, with a stylish décor for a relaxed modern look, and the contemporary artwork displayed on the walls adding further interest.

Akrame is owned by young chef Akrame Benallal, who has earned his culinary stripes working alongside such illustrious chefs as Ferran Adrià and Pierre Gagnaire. There is an impressive culinary intelligence and diversity, together with beautiful visual presentation to Akrame's dishes, and it is no surprise that the Michelin Guide awarded him a prestigious Michelin star, within one year of the restaurant's opening. To complement the dishes there is a excellent wine list and a knowledgeable sommelier on hand to guide you through the choices.
