Review on Le Flora Danica
Situated on the most beautiful avenue in Paris, the Champs Elysées, Le Flora Danica is a restaurant that has been specialising in Danish cuisine since January 1973. The contemporary dining room has been decorated in a Scandinavian style by designer Claire Euvrad and it has a light and spacious feel. There is also a very pretty decked terrace with lots of greenery and its an idyllic place to dine during the summer months.
Seafood shows up well on the menu with starters of pickled herrings in all manner of flavours, such as curry, dill, sherry and orange or gazpacho with cucumber, shrimp from Greenland, cheese foam with dill. For mains, try the restaurant's signature dish saumon grillé à l'unilatéral, salmon grilled on one side or roasted reindeer with hazelnuts. While desserts take in crème brulée with cherry brandy or a cherry almond rice pudding. On Sundays there is an excellent buffet brunch which always proves to be very popular. The wine list has a good range of quaffable choices and there is Carlsberg or Cérès on tap.
