Review on Au Petit Riche

Au Petit Riche is a classic French bistro built in 1854 serving traditional French cuisine inspired by the Tours region of France. Located near the Boulevard Haussman and its department stores it has a cosy ambience with 19th century wood panelling, rich red velvet banquettes, antique mirrors and original gas lamps.

Typical offerings on the menu include beef's cheek in terrine with red wine sauce or home-made duck foie gras, dried pear from Touraine, followed by mains of calf's kidney, port sauce and sautéed potatoes or pike's dumpling and crayfish, mushroom and shellfish sauce. For dessert it's tradition all the way with the likes of pear charlotte or apple pie and there is an impressive wine list from the Loire Valley.
