Review on La Table de Botzaris
La Table de Botzaris is set in the Mouzaia quarter, a short stroll from the Butte Chaumont Park in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. With its floor to ceiling window the restaurant is light and airy, decked out in neutral colours with contrasting dark wood and large mirrors adorning the walls.
This charming bistro is owned by chef Mehdi Corthier who has honed his skills at various prestigious establishments such as Jules Verne, La Table D'Anvers and Le Concorde Lafayette. His food is based around keenly sourced fresh ingredients, and typically among the starters you might find layered salmon marinated with citrus and New Zealand spinach and orange vinaigrette, or chicken liver terrine served with quince chutney. Main courses take in haddock fillet in a leek, parmentier potato and lobster cream or three week matured Bavarian beef fillet with potato gratin. To finish choose a dessert of fresh figs roasted with honey paired with biscuit and vanilla ice cream or iced parfait with nougatine and thin Carambar lace biscuit.
