Review on L'Opéra Restaurant
L'Opéra Restaurant is set in one of Paris's most stunning and iconic buildings, the Opera Garnier in the city's ninth arrondissement. The multi-level, futuristic designed restaurant was created by French architect Odile Decq featuring an upper mezzanine. The restaurant has a theatrical flair with dramatic undulating glass walls between the limestone arches, vibrant red chairs are set against crisp white table linen and a grand red-carpeted staircase leads to the upper levels.
Two-starred chef Christophe Aribert and Executive Chef Yann Tanneau have designed the inventive menu with careful use of fresh seasonal ingredients, showcasing both classic and modern French dishes. To start you could choose home made smoked salmon, sweet bread with horseradish and mustard ice cream followed by a main course of lamb stew, green apples and young vegetables. Desserts offer satisfaction in crispy milk chocolate biscuit, creamy black chocolate and white chocolate sorbet or soufflé with pink pralines and cranberry sorbet.
L'Opéra also features a bar where you can order opera theme cocktails like Martini Charles and Phantom by Martini.
