Review on The Green Park Hotel
Owned and run by two generations of the McMenemie family, this long established and highly popular hotel makes much of its location, with extensive grounds running down to the still waters of Loch Faskally.
There are delightful views of the colourful and immaculately tended gardens from the windows of the traditional dining room. Home-grown herbs and salad vegetables find their way into the kitchen and onto the plate, and the regularly changing menu lists dishes such as venison and chicken terrine with hazelnut bread, confit of duck with chorizo and bean stew, and rich chocolate torte.
Note that light lunches are available for residents only in the sun lounge, and dinner kicks off at 5.45pm during the Pitlochry Theatre season.
