Review on Bacco Restaurant
The popular Bacco Restaurant has been a stalwart fixture of the Richmond dining scene for a number of years, ideally located a few steps from the Orange Tree Theatre and Richmond Station. Taking its name from the Roman God of Wine, Bacco is a modern family-run restaurant with a friendly and relaxed ambience. In summer months guests can sit back and unwind with a drink or enjoy a leisurely meal on their decked terrace.
The kitchen makes good use of carefully sourced seasonal ingredients for its authentic Italian cuisine. Classic dishes such as beef carpaccio served with rocket leaves, parmesan cheese and truffle dressing appears amongst the starters as well as maybe, zuppetta di pesce e crostacei con ceci, traditional warm shellfish and fish soup with chickpeas and garlic crostino bread. All of their pasta is made fresh daily in-house and you might choose a delicious main course of linguine pasta with fresh marinated crab meat, cherry tomato and a touch of chilli. Other options worth considering are pan fried seabass fillet with a delicate cherry tomato sauce and samphire or oven baked guinea fowl supreme gratin with breadcrumbs served with sautéed baby spinach.
Bacco has an extensive Italian wine list featuring both small artisanal producers and well-known vineyards such as Antinori.
