Review on China Boy Jo

Located in Ross-on-Wye, which is not particularly famous for its gastronomic destinations, China Boy Jo is a surprising gem offering some of the best authentic Chinese cuisine in the region.

The interior has been tastefully designed with a modern touch, complete with a flagstone floor, and a light and airy feel with plenty of room to breathe. China Boy Jo is always abuzz with atmosphere, which is testament to its success. The extensive menu includes many Chinese favourites, as well as some interesting specials, suiting all tastes.

    First Class Meal

I have eaten at China Boy Jo’s over many years, with family and many friends, but never thought of writing about my experience. When we consider eating out in Ross, it is the first place that comes to mind. We have never ever had a bad meal, on the contrary, the meals have always been first class. To eat at CBJ if you like Chinese food is a must. It is honest Chinese food with a Malaysian twist, which for me is what makes it different from other Chinese food. It is food of the highest quality, and taste, and eating out at CBJ is an experience to die for. So many visiting family and friends when visiting, pay me the highest compliment for my choice of eatery. Our own favourite is crispy duck, but have found the Singapore noodles a wonderful discovery, a spicy alternative to the other choice of noodles. If you like spicy, then try the spicy bass, delicious, but best if there are four sharing, its too much for two in my opinion. My dessert of choice is banana fritters, or, apple fritters. No apple tart served here!
The staff are a delight, and meet and greet you with a genuine smile, and, if a frequent customer usually by name. Although not the cheapest place in Ross, you pay for what you get. If you want a good value, high quality Chinese meal and experience, then it’s CBJ every time for me and my family. Bon Appetite
