Review on Miguel
Facing the beach in Santa Ponsa, Miguel restaurant sets its stall out to provide the freshest fish and seafood, quality meats and vegetables from its own vegetable garden.
It's a well rehearsed act from the brigade of chefs here who have been performing for many years to an international clientele. The monster of a menu opens with a choice of hot asparagus with Cheese, garlic prawns casserole, or perhaps octopus 'Gallega-style' followed by signature dishes including hake supreme with mustard Seeds or fried Mallorcan John Dory with onions. Carnivores are well taken care of with the likes of entrecote steak, veal fillet steak, baby lamb chops, or duck with orange. Desserts feature die-hard classics like crepes with hot chocolate sauce, tiramisu, apple strudel and banana flambe.
The predominantly Spanish wine list is an assortment of good-value regional bottles with some serious local contenders along the way.
