The Mayfield situated in the pretty Yorkshire village of Seamer, a few miles south-west of Scarborough has been given a new lease of life by the same team behind the award winning nearby Copper Horse. A popular English family-friendly neighbourhood pub, the interiors have undergone a complete refurbishment and they now sport a new modern look with tartan carpets and smart upholstery. Although it still displays its pubby credentials from real ales and an excellent selection of wine at the bar, the extensive range of quality food is also a big draw, together with their quiz nights, live bands, comedy nights and their unmissable tribute acts.

The kitchen makes excellent use of the finest local produce for family favourites such as homemade burgers, Tom's Pies, classic fish 'n' chips as well as their well regarded sharing platters. Other options worth considering are the goujons of sole with dressed leaves and garlic mayo or the chicken liver pâté, homemade smooth pâté with chutney served with toasted bread amongst the starters. Main courses offer 8oz Rib Eye steak from the grill with tomato, mushrooms and onions rings, chunky chips and garden peas or choose a selection of high-quality hand-carved British meats, accompanied by fresh vegetables and homemade Yorkshire puddings from their brand new Carvery. You can also enjoy their fantastic 'All you can eat breakfast' served every weekend and holidays.

The Mayfield is dog friendly and Mums and Dads can sit back and relax as children are well catered for with their own menu, as well as an impressive playroom with a climbing frame, slide and large screens showing kids TV. There's also high chairs for the little ones, together with baby changing facilities.
