Review on Memories of India
Memories of India in the village of Farnham Common in Buckinghamshire is the latest outpost of this small group of restaurants. The elegant restaurant has a relaxed ambience featuring a modern setting with hand-carved wooden panels and tables well-spaced.
The lengthy menu stays in mostly familiar territory, with a strong selection of tikkas and tandooris (check out the whole pomfret and juicy akbari lamb chops) lining up alongside familiar curries ranging from chicken jalfrezi to Kashmiri korma and king prawn masala. Elsewhere, salmon samosas and 'creative dishes' such as creamy lobster malai served with saffron rice and aubergines or paneerwala murg (chicken breast tossed with paneer cheese, spring onions and ginger) add a touch of variety to proceedings.
