Review on Giovanni's
A pleasant village location on the outskirts of Solihull makes this likeable Italian well worth a trip, especially if you fancy some authentic trattoria food in relaxed away-from-it-all surroundings. Inside it is spacious and contemporary, with high ceilings, big windows and plain modern furnishings.
The lengthy menu covers all the usual bases, from antipasti such as insalata caprese and beef carpaccio to classic desserts in the tiramisù mould. In between, expect a healthy showing of pasta and risottos, plus main courses ranging from saltimbocca alla romana and fegato alla veneziana to king prawns in olive oil, white wine and orange jus or fillet of sea bass with clams, mussels and roasted Mediterranean vegetables.
