Review on Mortons Kitchen, Bar & Deli
Sit where you like, drink where you like and eat where you like in this enterprising venture overlooking the Market Square at Dickens Heath. There's something excitingly different about Mortons, with its cowhide furniture, chunky corduroy sofas, imposing pieces of wooden art and polished concrete bar - not to mention its tree-decked alfresco terrace.
The flexible theme continues on the menu, which offers morning coffee and brunch as well as full-blown lunches and dinners. Sharing plates and deli boards are ideal for nibbling, there are wood-fired pizzas and burgers, plus various offerings from the rotisserie and stove (lamb with harrisa-spiced vegetable couscous and tzatziki, say).
If you fancy something light, try smoked salmon rösti with horseradish cream or Stilton, walnut and apple salad. Also check out the special deli lunch dishes (Monday brings pork chop with bubble 'n squeak and apple sauce). There are plenty of beers and wines to wash it all down.
