Review on Restaurant at The French Horn Hotel
The French Horn in Sonning on Thames is one of those restaurants that if you are serious about dining out, you will have almost certainly been there or if not then it has to be very high on you short list of places to go. You will be very hard pushed to find any customer who does not have fond memories of this delightful restaurant which is blessed with one of the most beautiful settings in England.
On entering you will see the famous open fire, with the customary ducks roasting on a spit. The duck’s sizzling, the crackling fire together with the excited chatter of diners, greeting a colleague or merely discussing the menu provided an interesting and pleasing backdrop to the charms of The French Horn.
Choose from the set menu which changes between lunch, dinner menu classique and Sunday lunch or from the A La carte. Don’t spend too long on the menu because you will need time set aside for the wine list which is legendary and deserves close inspection.
