Review on Trattoria 51

Trattoria 51 is housed in a restored Victorian building opposite Southport Theatre and Floral Hall, the modern décor is home to chef proprietor Attilio Sergi and his talented partner Tuni.

'Everything about this restaurant screams quality,' proclaimed one Mobile Food Guide user. Original wood floors and high ceilings define the cool, sophisticated interior, and authentic regional Italian food. Ingredients are carefully sourced from Liverpool's markets as well as artisan producers in Italy, with a blackboard menu featuring daily specials such as whole Dover sole meuniere, with white wine and capers, dauphinoise potatoes and seasonal vegetables. There's an excellent range of stone baked pizzas, pasta and risottos alongside Italian classics like pollo Milanese and grilled sea bass with sun dried tomato risotto.

There is a well priced wine list and cocktail menu and the service is very friendly and attentive.
