Review on The Kinmel Arms

In a tiny village at the foothills of the beautiful Elwy Valley, the Kinmel Arms serves its local community well and is a welcome pit stop for tourists and travellers in search of good drink, fine food and a room for the night.

Inside, it's buzzy and welcoming, with lots of light and space, stools the bar, sofas by the fire and wicker chairs in the conservatory; in addition, the owners have bedecked the walls with their own original mountain photography. You can eat wherever you like from a regularly changing menu that could take in steamed mussels with lemon grass, loin of pork stuffed with herbs, apples and dates, and braised rabbit in cider not forgetting a slate of fresh fish specials. As a finale, go for something like crme brle with forest fruits.

The Kinmel Arms always has a decent line up of tip-top real ales (including guest beers) and if you prefer the grape to the grain the extensive wine list includes ten by the glass.

The Kinmel Arms is also featured in: Michelin Guide, Good Food Guide, Hardens, AA Guide
