Review on Marriott Hanbury Manor, Cast Iron Grill
The Cast Iron Grill is one of the dining options of the five-star Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel, a stunning Jacobean-style building nestling in 200 acres of Hertfordshire parkland with its own PGA Championship golf course, near the town of Ware. The light and airy restaurant integrates a modern contemporary design into the 17th-century buildings history, with a lovely terrace for al fresco dining overlooking the estate and magnificent lawn.
The kitchen uses the highest quality and freshest ingredients, placing great emphasis on working closely with trusted regional suppliers, for an international menu that evolves with the seasons. The artisan meat plate consisting of cured beef, smoked pork and Lincolnshire salami and piccalilli could be a good staring point, followed by a main course of Cornish sea bream, roast Jerusalem artichoke and smoked bacon or one of their succulent steaks cooked in the Montague broiler at 650°C.
There are many attractions such as the Paradise Wildlife Park close to the hotel, should you wish to extend your visit and explore the Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire countryside.
