Review on Abbots Cellar Restaurant at The Priory Hotel
The Mobile Food Guide discovered that table reservations are strongly recommended if you intend to dine at The Abbots Cellar Restaurant in Wareham. This popular and atmospheric restaurant provides an intimate backdrop in which to sample the imaginative selection of English and French dishes. An impressive wine cellar, comprising around 200 vintages, provides a more than adequate accompaniment for your meal.
Dinner is in the form of an elaborate 'table d'hote' menu which is currently priced at £48.50 per person, including coffee and petit fours. Try Baked Pave of Halibut, or Seared Sea Bass on Soft Noodles with a Sweet and Sour Sauce. The innovative dishes are prepared using the best local produce.
You can also take lunch at the Priory Hotel, taking advantage of the light and airy Garden Room overlooking 4 acres of cottage gardens, or step out onto the terrace for an alfresco treat. A two course lunch from the 'a la carte' menu costs £20.
Private parties and special occasions are also catered for and tailor made menus can be accommodated.
