A lavishly refurbished Georgian hotel opposite the Long Walk towards Windsor Castle, the Royal Adelaide is in a quiet residential area just a stroll away from the Thames and other prime tourist attractions.

The Long Walk Brasserie and Bar has also been given the treatment, with elegantly upholstered seating, gilt mirrors and - of course - views of the grounds. A regularly changing menu covers everything from roast pumpkin tortellini to meatless Glamorgan sausages, alongside home-cured beetroot gravlax, seared tuna loin with basil potatoes, pak choi and Malibu cream sauce, and desserts such as Pina Cola mousse with a toffee 'candle stick'.
