Review on Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill
The Casa Hotel set in an idyllic rural setting, with parts of the building dating back to the 17th century is home to Marco Pierre White's expanding brand of Steakhouse Bar & Grills, located in the village of Yateley it is within easy reach of Heathrow and Gatwick Airports. The restaurant has a smart setting with exposed wooden beams and a cosy fire during the winter months, whilst in the summer you can dine al fresco to the sound of the fountain and cascading waterfall.
The kitchen makes excellent use of first-class seasonal produce, sourced locally where possible for Marco's trademark style of British and French classics. Potted duck with prunes d'agen paired with toasted sourdough is a good starting point or maybe choose king scallop's with cauliflower puree. Main courses pick up the theme with duck breast, jus grilottine, dauphinois and green beans or smoked haddock, colcannon mash, poached egg and grain mustard beurre blanc sauce. To finish there are timeless desserts such as bread and butter pudding or Cambridge burnt cream.
As well as the a la carte menu, there is a weekly and Sunday set menu and a luxurious afternoon tea available.
