Situated on the outskirts of Yeovil, within easy reach of local businesses and amenities, this purpose-built modern hotel has been privately run by Brian and Carol Devenport since it first opened. Yeovil Court's restaurant is at the centre of things and provides an elegant backdrop for food with a modern slant.
Menus might open with glazed Capricorn goats' cheese, spiced apple chutney, crushed hazelnut and basil oil or a salad of ham hock with English mustard dressing. Main courses range from spiced pork tenderloin with caramelised endive and red wine sauce to fillet of sea bass with spiced potatoes, mustard seeds and chilli jam. There are classic 'old favourites', too plus Euro-desserts along the lines of toffee and praline parfait with chocolate sauce.
