Review on Bella Cosa Restaurant
Occupying a prime spot on South Quay, in the heart of London's financial district, Bella Cosa boasts stunning views of Canary Wharf across the water. It is indeed a beautiful venue designed by Francesco Pizza, the restaurant is spread over two floors with a glass frontage to make the most of the spectacular panorama.
The ground floor featuring a wall of lush green plants has a Chef's Isle, where guests can perch on stools around the central bar and watch all the action of the kitchen. Fine dining takes place upstairs, in an elegant room with deep red chairs set against tables laid with crisp linen. There's also a Craft Beer Corner serving innovative small plates of Italian dishes alongside a great selection of artisanal Italian beer. The spectacular Wine Room displaying the restaurant's excellent wine collection is reserved for private dining.
Open your account with grilled octopus leg, smoked potato mousse, celery, chicory, olives and trapani pesto or parsnip soup, pulled wild venison, black truffle, and chestnut. When it comes to main courses there's much to enjoy, witness black cod in prosciutto, baby cuttlefish in black ink, polenta, and radicchio or double cooked San Daniele pork belly, salsciccia tortellini, wild mushroom, and Jerusalem artichoke puree. Delicious desserts close the show with vanilla rice pudding, quince apple compote and Limoncello sauce or there's tiramisù Bella Cosa.
