Review on The Ladbroke Arms
The Ladbroke Arms is a popular early-Victorian pub in the heart of Notting Hill Gate, located in a quiet residential area it's a short walk from Holland Park tube station. Inside the interiors are light and airy with traditional wooden furniture and flooring, with cream walls adorned with vintage posters. It's pièce de résistance is their lovely raised terrace which is festooned with beautiful displays of hanging baskets in the summer, making it a big draw with locals and tourists alike.
Menus change daily reflecting the very best of seasonal produce, working its way through the likes of tuna ceviche, avocado, spring onion and sesame or duck rillette, pickled chicory and Black Sticks blue cheese. Crowd-pleasing main courses follow with roasted stone bass, razor clams, samphire, spinach and shallot vinaigrette or carnivores will enjoy the aged rib-eye steak on the bone served with mustard, green peppercorn and herb butter. Desserts hit the button with chocolate fondant paired with milk ice-cream or sticky toffee pudding with banana ice cream and butterscotch sauce.
There's an extensive wine list offering ample choice across the range together with a great selection of draught beers.
