Review on Restaurant Ours
Restaurant Ours was opened by Michelin-starred chef Tom Sellers in exclusive Knightsbridge in April 2016, but at the end of June 2017 he finalised his culinary contract with the restaurant but will retain a seat on the board. The building was once occupied by the former 1990's fashion restaurant called The Collection and they have retained the iconic 80-feet long Norman Foster-designed catwalk entrance. Inside it features a 10 metre high ceiling with a living green wall and three tall trees lit with fairy lights taking centre stage. The restaurant welcomes guests in a warm and elegant setting with an open kitchen, exposed brick walls and well spaced tables are set against velvet banquettes.
The kitchen showcases a modern European menu along the lines of starters such as oscietra caviar, avocado, crème fraiche or vegetable tempura, herb buttermilk. When it comes to main courses there's Galician beef sirloin or fillet paired with sauce béarnaise or Monkfish, squid ink and courgette. Desserts are wickedly indulgent creations witness, cinnamon doughnuts, salted caramel and apple or peach soufflé, Champagne and elderflower sorbet.
The wine list offers a good selection of champagnes and wines from all of the major wine-making countries and the upstairs bar is a popular destination for cocktails and snacks.
