Review on Cottons Rhum Shacks
Located in Boxpark East London's first pop-up retail park made up of standard-sized shipping containers, Cottons Rhum Shacks is the younger sibling to the well established Cottons in Primrose Hill. Just minutes from Shoreditch High Street station, the restaurant has a colourful interior reminiscent of the small shack like bars found on the beaches and side streets in the Caribbean. A huge sheltered outdoor area is perfect for al fresco dining when Rhum Shacks parties to the live steel band.
The menu features vibrant and authentic Caribbean dishes in the shape of plantain and sweet potato fritters or achee, the national fruit of Jamaica and salt fish dumplings. There's also their signature barbecue skewers of jerk chicken or mixed fish accompanied by mixed salad, plantain, rice 'n' peas and jerk classic sauce. Wash it down with one of the UK's largest selection of rum or one of their tasty cocktails.
