Kaskai Restaurant occupies an idyllic position at the hillside location known as Mirador de Na Burguesa in the suburb of Genova in Palma, Mallorca. The restaurant has a modern décor with wooden tables well-spaced on polished wood flooring, presented in a palette of cool neutrals and natural elements. Flooded with natural light from large windows, its pièce de résistance is the breathtaking views over Palma and the bay.
The kitchen offers an extensive menu that specialises in charcoal-grilled meat alongside local seafood, salads and pastas. A good starting point is fresh red tuna, mango and avocado served with wasabi and honey sauce or from the land there's spring rolls stuffed with chicken, shrimps, shitakes, coriander and ginger, paired with sweet chilli sauce on the side. Follow on with sea bass wrapped in a banana leaf served with vegetables with aromatic oil or meat eaters might opt for the rack of lamb with crispy herbs, mashed sweet potato, grilled tomatoes and meat sauce. To finish expect desserts in the shape of banoffee pie or apple tart with vanilla ice cream.
Attentive service is accompanied by a well-considered Spanish wine list that together with the unparallel views will ensure plenty of reasons to linger.
