Review on Collins Restaurant
The Collins Restaurant is at the heart of the luxurious Portals Hills Boutique Hotel, set in an elevated position overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean sea in the Bay of Palma, and just minutes from the excusive Puerto Portals Marina. The beautifully designed restaurant looks eminently chic with a modern décor in a palette of crisp white with golden art deco influences. On sunny days the outside tables on their delightful terrace are the most sought after, affording diners panoramic coastal views.
The kitchen offers an ever-changing seasonal menu with produce often organic, sourced locally from farmers' markets. The menu cruises through dishes such as lobster linguine with homemade lobster American sauce and fresh herbs to their signature Angus beef cheese burger with crispy bacon, cheddar cheese and hand cut fries. Desserts are artistically displayed creations in the shape of apple tatin served with yogurt ice cream and crème anglaise or chocolate coulant, vanilla ice cream and red fruits.
The restaurant has an impressive collection of fine wine and champagne housed in a two-storey glass-encased wine wall, the largest on the Island.
