Review on Clandestí Taller Gastroṇmic

After successfully launching their restaurant Clandestí Taller Gastroṇmic in the cookware store Cocinaria, chefs Pau Navarro and Ariadna Salvador were able to move to their own premises in March 2107, off Carrer del General Riera on the outskirts of Palma.

Clandestí means secret, and there is no menu here, rather the chefs decide on what to cook after gathering the freshest supplies from local markets. Seating just a maximum of 12 guests in a contemporary space, you watch while they prepare innovative dishes that pay homage to creative Mallorcan cuisine. After the dishes are cooked the food is eaten with Pau and Ariadna at a long communal table.

Although still in his mid-twenties Paul has worked at some high profile restaurants including El Celler de Can Roca, Michelin-starred L'Aliança in Girona, before returning to Mallorca where he worked in kitchens Andreu Genestra, Marc Fosh, Argos and Santi Taura. Ariadna not only assists Pau in creating the tempting range of culinary delights, she is also responsible for the delicious desserts.
