Review on Greenwood
Located directly opposite Victoria Station in the new Nova development, Greenwood is the latest edition to ETM's stable of venues. A 1,000 square foot pub and restaurant laid out over two floors with a stunning glass frontage, it has been styled by the acclaimed Russell Sage Studio. Taking inspiration from a 1970's common room and library, the large island bar takes centre stage dominated by four overhanging copper beer tanks. Decked out in bright colours of green, pink, red and purples with retro furnishings, accessorised with overhead planters and elegant handcrafted chandeliers, not forgetting the zebra heads and flying flamingos!
Sports fans can head upstairs where the lounge boasts five screens, including two mega screens showing all competitive domestic and international sport throughout the day and night. There's also an American 8 Ball pool table and ping pong table as well as two Shuffleboards to keep you amused. The bar menu offers casual fare such as croquettes, pizza strips and burgers.
The kitchen serves food all day kicking off with breakfast and working its way through lunch, pre and post theatre dining and weekend brunches. Amongst the starters look for dishes like monkfish scampi served with tartare sauce or beef shin and scamorza deep pan pizza. When it comes to main courses you might decide to opt for the pan fried hake, orzo pasta, courgettes, spinach, cumin and smoked almonds from the clay oven, or for meat lovers there's chargrilled 220g flatiron steak, skin on fries and Béarnaise sauce. Sinful desserts close the show, witness chocolate brownie and peanut butter sundae or fried apple pie paired with cinnamon ice cream.
The wine list is a well sourced slate and there's Long Arm Brewing Co. craft beers from West London, with rotating guest ales on tap, alongside a classic cocktail menu.
