Review on Noizé
Discreetly tucked away on a corner location on Whitfield Street in the heart of Fitzrovia, Noizé was launched in October 2017 in the building that housed the recently closed Dabbous restaurant. This new venture has been rolled out by the former co-owner and restaurant manager of Pied à Terre, Mathieu Germond. Taking its name from the tiny village of Noizé in the Loire Valley where his grandparents owned a farm, the restaurant is situated just a 2-minute walk from Goodge Street Tube Station.
Laid out over two floors, the main dining room is at street level featuring smart red suede banquettes set against crisp linen laid tables and mirrors adorning the walls. Downstairs is more rustic with exposed brick walls and a more informal eating area, with a selection of small tables and counter seating at the bar.
Diners can look forward to seasonal French dishes that are simple in concept, sharply executed and bursting with natural flavours. Open your account with a starter of chestnut velouté, bacon brioche before moving on to a main course of cod, spinach and clam emulsion, and closing the show with a baked Alaska with blackberry.
Mathieu has compiled a first-class wine list to accompany the menu and is on hand ready to advise, guide, match or recommend the perfect wine to complement your food choice.
