7Fuegos is a family owned and managed restaurant, located directly on the seafront within the prestigious Club Náutico in the popular Mallorcan seaside resort of Santa Ponsa. Inside the restaurant is charmingly decked out in a shabby chic style, crisp linen laid tables are set with white sand-washed wooden chairs on a terracotta-tiled floor. However it's their terrace that's a magnet on balmy sunny days with its beautiful sea views of the idyllic harbour, as well as spectacular sunsets over the mountains beyond.
The kitchen draws on fish from the nearby market and locally sourced produce for a repertoire of contemporary Mediterranean dishes. A great deal of attention is taking to the plating of dishes with a menu that reflects the seasons. Expect the likes of lobster salad with tropical fruit and passion fruit oil or from the land beef carpaccio with basil pesto, dried tomato, pine nuts, parmesan flakes and rucola. Other possibilities when it comes to main courses include crunchy suckling pig which is cooked at a low temperature with garlic and thyme potatoes or maybe grilled sea bass loin with leek cream and vegetable spaghetti. Tempting desserts close the show with a chocolate coulant paired with passion fruits and ice cream or the intriguing white chocolate soup, citrus pie, and a red-fruit ragú.
