Review on Little Bird
Having established a sibling restaurant in 2016 in Chiswick, a second Little Bird has now landed in Battersea. The Little Bird restaurants will join the successful portfolio of veteran restaurateur, Lorraine Angliss which includes Rock & Rose in Richmond and Annie's in Barnes and Chiswick.
Like it's sibling Little Bird in Barnes has a colourful and eclectic décor filled with striking prints, large palm trees, hand-painted wallpaper with birds of paradise and hanging bamboo lights. The front terrace with plenty of greenery will be a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of Battersea, and an open-air courtyard will be a popular addition during the summer evenings, when the weather is warm.
The Asian fusion menu with Mediterranean influences is designed for sharing, and to complement the dishes there's signature cocktails by an award-winning mixologist. Among the delights on offer you might opt for tuna sashimi and avocado with pickled ginger, wasabi and lime or from the land chicken san choy bau, lettuce wrap and toasted peanuts. To finish on a sweet note there's doughnut kebab with toffee and chocolate sauce or sticky toffee pudding served with vanilla ice cream.
