Review on Monmouth Kitchen
Monmouth Kitchen is the flagship restaurant in the Radisson Blu Edwardian Mercer Street Hotel, which stands right at the apex of Seven Dials in Covent Garden. Situated on Monmouth Street with its own entrance, the restaurant has a contemporary décor with a sleek glass frontage. Decked out in a neutral palette with marble table tops, the room is divided by lattice screens of grey-painted bricks.
Service Excellence Director Amir Jati, the former Nobu head of private dining presents two different menus of sharing dishes, one Italian and the other Peruvian, complimented by a carefully curated wine list and signature cocktails. The open kitchen makes excellent use of the robata grill with Italian dishes such as lamb cutlet, wild boar and apple sausage, poussin and pork slider. The Peruvian menu offers sea bass ceviche with avocado, white corn and red onion or maybe a spicy chicken with rocoto yoghurt taco.
There's also a terrace for al fresco eating and drinking which proves very popular when the weather obliges.
