Review on Breddos Tacos Soho

The team behind the successful Breddos Tacos in Clerkenwell have opened a second outpost, this time they have headed West to Soho on Kingly Street, just steps away from Regent Street. It has a vibrant décor as befitting its Mexican cuisine, more than double the size of it's older sibling, this branch has a basement Cocteleria serving thirty different Mescals and cocktails along with bar snacks.

The food takes inspiration from the vast number of roadside taquerias and restaurants the founders, Nud and Chris came across during their travels throughout America and Mexico. Tortillas are made daily in house with non-GMO corn using a Mexican volcanic stone mill, and produce is carefully sourced from trusted British suppliers such as Master Butchers, Philip Warren & Son and fish from Wild Harbour in Cornwall. There's a regularly changing menu that offers tacos along the lines of masa fried chicken, pickled red cabbage, salsa molcajete and habanero mayo or a sharing taco of grilled seabass, fermented Serrano chilli salsa, smoked sea salt and palm sugar. To finish who could resist one of the three different types of ice cream sandwiches such as The Naughty One, miso salted caramel parfait, chocolate Guinness cake and soy dulce de leche.
