Review on Hadskis
Hadskis is located in Belfast’s historic Cathedral Quarter in a former 1760's iron foundry, taking its name from the 18th century tenant Stewart Hadski, who made pots and pans there. An award winning restaurant including the Good Food Guide's regional winner for Northern Ireland 2019, the brains behind the venture is respected chef and restaurateur Neil McKenna, who also operates James Street South. A smart modern dining room, the narrow space has a pared back décor with an open pass kitchen.
Open your account with seafood chowder, mussels and bacon before moving on to a main course of duck breast and ragu, braised chicory, pasta and cherry jus or from the charcoal grill County Tyrone sirloin, chips and pepper sauce. When it comes to desserts you might see a white chocolate crème brûlée or a Mississippi mud pie.
The wine list that accompanies the food showcases European and New World wines, together with cocktails like Mo Better Blues, Hennessey, Southern Comfort, lemon and orange juice.
Hadskis is also featured in: Michelin Guide, Good Food Guide, Hardens
