Review on BaoziInn - London Bridge
Having established BaoziInn Leicester Square and Soho in London, Sichuanese Restaurateur Shao Wei has opened a flagship branch just a short stroll from Borough Market. Seating 120 diners, the corner site is spread out over three floors with a large open kitchen on the ground floor and a cocktail bar and lounge on the first floor.
Serving authentic Northern Chinese street food, the London Bridge restaurant will specialise in barbecue and roast meat with Hunanese and Sichuanese influences. Among the crowd pleasing dishes are their signature big soup dumplings and Jiaozi dumpling in XO Sauce. When it comes to barbecued meat, guests can choose to have it served served dry with noodles or with noodles in a soup. Other dishes worth looking at are their BaoziInn sweet and sour pork paired with fresh fruits or maybe the king prawn in capital sauce.
To accompany the dishes there's a concise wine list, Asian beers, sake and cocktails like lychee Martini.
