Review on Hot May Pot Pot
Occupying an elegant three-storey townhouse on Beauchamp Place in upmarket Knightsbridge, distinguished by its pretty pink-toned floral display around the window, it's the debut European venture from husband and wife team Joseph and YuQian Nie. The restaurant is luxuriously decked out with illuminated green panels and bespoke Chinoiserie floral wallpaper, plush leather banquettes and stylish Scandinavian chairs with statement brass lamps. Dining is available on the ground and first floor, with the second floor available for the tasting masterclass experience.
Three broths using natural ingredients are created by the kitchen daily and this is kept at the right temperature in individual burners on the table. Guests then cook, with some help from the waiters, ingredients along the lines of Wagyu beef, Pacific scallop or the prawn cake in the broth and then dip it into their choice of sauce. Each hot pot is finished with freshly made rainbow noodles based on spinach, carrot and beetroot.
Accompanying the menu is signature cocktails along the lines of Funky Dragon, Green mark Vodka, passoa, fresh pomegranate, fresh passion fruit, lime juice, sugar syrup and cranberry juice.
