Review on Native at Hilton Garden Inn
Native is the showpiece restaurant in the modern Hilton Garden Inn located in the heart of the city of Aberdeen and just five minutes drive from the beach. The elegant restaurant has a contemporary décor with smart polished dark wood tables set against comfy olive green chairs and walls adorned with local pictures of a bygone era.

The kitchen taps into the bountiful supplies the region has to offer, with top-notch ingredients supplied from trusted local producers including grass reared beef and lamb, and ultra-fresh seafood sourced from Aberdeen and Peterhead. Kick off with hand dived Orkney scallops, chorizo picante, pea, lettuce and toasted oatmeal or maybe haggis tortellini, beetroot, trompette mushrooms and Cabernet Sauvignon vinaigrette. Moving on meat lovers might opt for for a streak from the grill menu served with plum tomato, flat mushroom, onion rings and fries, together with your choice of sauce or pan-fried Peterhead lemon sole on the bone, brown butter, capers, parsley and lemon. Scrumptious desserts close the show with a passion fruit crème brûlée paired with coconut shortbread or Nick’s soft chocolate cake, caramel sauce, honeycomb and crème fraiche.

Knowledgeable staff, a pleasant buzz and a concise wine list hits the right notes.
