Review on Restaurante JardÃn
Restaurante JardÃn in Alcudia is the showcase for one of Mallorca's rising stars, chef Macarena de Castro, she dazzles diners with her original and rejuvenated creations by taking traditional dishes and reworking them for the 21st century. Our early predictions were correct as Macarena scooped her Michelin Star and our current impression is that she is not satisfied with just one!
Macarena’s cooking simply becomes more ingenious and retains without doubt that wow factor. She has created an outstanding theatre of gastronomy where the cast work together like in a top Broadway production. It's a suitably chic and swanky setting for dishes which are meticulously prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients. Flamboyant new culinary ideas are surfacing all the time as the 15 course tasting menu works its way through the likes of Pa amb oli, Mackerel with almond and herbs or lobster brioche with pickled glasswort and lemon balm. Elsewhere on the menu you might find Cuttlefish with caper and scarlet shrimp, Pigeon mortar with figs and sage or gin and lemon frost on melon seeds cream. The wine list is a majestic tome of some 1,100 bins knowledgeably garnered from all corners of the world.
Your menu will be presented at the end of the meal tucked inside a souvenir booklet.
