El RocÃo is a typical Andalusian tavern in the heart of Madrid's elegant barrio Salamanca, offering all types of dishes from southern Spain, especially rice dishes and lightly fried foods. Every day, chef Jesús Santos prepares a different soup or stew such as lentils, Spanish cocido, tripe, Asturian bean soup or vegetable soup. There are several set menus â€" a daily menu and other executive menus â€" which include many of the dishes from the à la carte, designed to satisfy a wide range of tastes. The restaurant also hosts gastronomic days throughout the year when clients can enjoy different specialities typical of other regions around Spain.
