Review on 1901 Restaurant
The takeover of the Great Eastern Hotel by ANdAZ is finally complete with the re-opening of the opulent 1901 restaurant once known as Aurora. The new incarnation - named 1901 after the date of the original layout - has kept faith with the past and most of its stunning features have been retained. A magnificent stained-glass dome and handsome Ionic columns still dominate proceedings in the palatial, showpiece dining room, along with a monolithic marble stone bar - although the mood is more casual than before.
The magnificent Grade II listed room provides a palatial setting to enjoy a full English breakfast buffet which comes complete with fresh juices, shakes, pancakes and waffles, together with your choice of eggs freshly cooked to order.
