The XII Apostel is a bar restaurant in Cologne serving Italian food and wine. It has a very unusual feel. It has magnificent ceiling paintings, hand-carved wall coverings, marble floors, chandeliers and red velvet curtains. The restaurant lives up to its name on the menu. Apart from traditional Italian pasta, fish and meat dishes, diners will also find the 12 apostles again - in the form of 12 different types of pizza prepared in front of the diners on a wood-fired stone oven. Peter with its fresh salmon and crème fraîche will appeal to diners who are after something mild. Judas, on the other hand, has a layer of rocket and hot salami. The 12 apostles, however, have one thing in common - they are huge and wafer thin. In sunny weather you can enjoy a business lunch, a Happy-Pizza-Hour or a Sunday brunch out on the terrace or in the green surroundings of the inner courtyard.
