Review on Kirkstyle Inn
Local farmers rub shoulders with Gleneagles golfers and tourists in this unpretentious pub in the centre of Dunning village. A log fire burns in the split-level bar during the winter months, while most activity switches to the beer garden by the trickling waters of the Dunning Burn stream when the sun shines.
The dining room at the back of the pub is equally unstuffy, with its flagstone floors and bare stone walls. A blackboard of specials bolsters the main menu, which doesn’t go in for gastronomic fireworks but offers plenty of choice from chicken liver pâté, fillet of venison and roast pork with haggis to tempura prawns and Cajun chicken, with desserts like raspberry cranachan rounding things off.
