Review on The Pandora Inn
There are three different ways to reach this ancient thatched Cornish inn: you can walk, cycle or arrive by boat. Parts of the building date back to the thirteenth century and the atmosphere simply oozes out of the place. In case you were wondering, the pub is named after the ship that was sent to capture the mutineers from The Bounty.
The regular menu naturally offers locally made pasties, along with Cornish crab cakes on asparagus and rocket salad, grilled Cumberland sausages with creamed potatoes and red pepper pesto, and treacle tart with clotted cream. Also take a look at the specials board, which might advertise seared scallops and smoked bacon on cherry tomato salad, oven-roast cod on dill risotto, or seared lamb’s liver and bacon on horseradish mash with red wine sauce.
