Review on Gaucho 02
This stunning branch of Gaucho at The O2 is spread over three floors and features a 100 cover cocktail lounge with a luxurious sunken seating area, a 136 cover restaurant adjoined by a sumptuous balcony lounge which overlooks the bustling crowds entering the arena, and a unique, flexible event space which can accommodate after show parties and bespoke dining for parties of 8 up to 150. All floors feature the signature cowhide and crystal chandelier design elements that create Gaucho’s unique Buenos Aires inspired sense of opulence and luxury.
Prime Argentinian steaks, aged for four to six weeks, cut to order then flash-grilled are the main attraction, and here they are served with a sauce of your choice (béarnaise, chipotle pepper or foie gras, for example) plus appropriate side orders. Starters feature salads and ceviches aplenty (the Ecuadorian version consists of marinated tiger prawns in roasted tomato and lime sauce served with maize cancha), while desserts include Latin American churros (sweet pastries) or banana cake drizzled with prune-speckled passion fruit sauce. To accompany the food, customers can peruse one of the most comprehensive lists of Argentinian wines in the UK
